The short answer: $0.50 per square foot, $195 minimum

As of October 2026, our driveway cleaning rate is $0.50 per square foot of concrete. Every visit has a $195 minimum, so small driveways land at the minimum and larger ones are priced by area. The final flat price is confirmed with you before any work begins, so the number you agree to is the number you pay.

Pricing by area is the fairest way to do it. A long hillside driveway and a short single-car pad are very different jobs, and square footage captures most of that difference without guesswork.

Worked examples for one-, two- and three-car driveways

A single-car driveway that measures 10 feet by 20 feet is 200 square feet. At $0.50 that comes to $100, which is under the minimum, so the visit would be $195. This is why many people add a walkway or patio to a small driveway job. The minimum covers it either way, so you may as well get more cleaned.

A two-car driveway at 20 feet by 20 feet is 400 square feet, or $200. A three-car driveway at 30 feet by 20 feet is 600 square feet, or $300. A long driveway that runs 12 feet wide and 60 feet deep to a detached garage in back is 720 square feet, or $360.

Your driveway will not match these exactly. If you want a closer number, our guide on measuring your driveway walks through odd shapes and the satellite-map trick, and the instant quote calculator on this page does the math for you.

What makes one driveway cost more than another

Size is the main driver, but it is not the only one. Heavy staining takes more time. Oil spots, tire marks and rust need their own pre-treatment and dwell time before the main cleaning pass, and that extra labor can show up in the flat price.

Slope and access matter too. Steep driveways are common in the hills, and they take more care because water and cleaning solution run downhill fast and footing is worse. A driveway behind a locked gate, crowded with parked cars, or with no nearby water spigot also adds time. None of this is a surprise fee. It is part of the flat price you see before we start.

Travel, bundles and how the flat price works

Travel may be added for longer distances depending on your ZIP code. The calculator accounts for this so you are not surprised later.

If you book two services in the same visit, you get a 5% bundle discount, and three or more services gets 10%. Say your two-car driveway is $200 and your front walkway is 150 square feet at $0.55, or $82.50. Together that is $282.50, and the 5% bundle discount brings it to about $268. Driveway plus walkway plus patio would qualify for 10%.

Once you have a quote, we confirm the flat price with you before work begins. At the end there is a walkthrough so you can see the result and point out anything you want us to look at again.

What the price buys, and what it cannot

A professional driveway cleaning means a sweep and pre-treatment of problem areas, a pass with a rotary surface cleaner for an even finish without stripes, detail work along edges and expansion joints, and a final rinse. Wash water handling matters here: Los Angeles Municipal Code section 64.70.02 prohibits discharging untreated wash water from paved-surface washing into the storm drain system unless a permit allows it.

Be realistic about old stains. Oil that has soaked in for years, rust, and some tire marks may lighten a lot without vanishing completely. Cracks, spalling and worn surfaces are repair issues, not cleaning issues. A good cleaning makes the whole slab look even and fresh, but it cannot make damaged concrete new.

Is it worth paying for versus doing it yourself?

For a small, lightly dirty driveway, a rented pressure washer and a careful afternoon can work fine. The common problems are zebra stripes from uneven wand passes and etching from holding the tip too close, which are hard to undo.

Paying makes more sense when the driveway is large, stained, sloped, or part of a bigger cleanup before a sale or a move. At $0.50 per square foot with bundle discounts, the gap between DIY rental costs and a professional job is often smaller than people expect.
